November 4-7

How well do you know history?  History is really “His Story”, and if you don’t know “His Story” then you don’t know history as well as you think.  Join us this year for a look at the TRUE history of our world, our nation, and our government.  Mark your calendar now for November 4-7 and come hear our speakers, Tim Barton and Dr. Tommy Mitchell, address these crucial issues for our time.

Thursday, November 4

3:30 - “Are You Intimidated?” - Dr. Tommy Mitchell
equips the Christian to take a stand when confronted by things that contradict the truth found in Scripture. The well-equipped Christian should not be shamed into silently surrendering the truth.
Teacher In-Service (1 1/2 hours)

(REGISTRATION REQUIRED)
Audience: Public, Private, and Homeschool teachers
Location: Quakertown Christian School

7:00 - “Why Genesis Matters” - Dr. Tommy Mitchell
explains why a literal acceptance of the book of Genesis from the pastor to the pew is foundational for the modern church to fulfill its missions of winning souls and raising up strong Christians.

8:15 - Questions and Answers - Dr. Tommy Mitchell
Dr. Mitchell will field questions from the audience on a variety of topics.

Friday, November 5

12:00 - “The Role of Pastors & Christians in Civil Government” - Tim Barton

Pastor’s Luncheon (2 hours)

(REGISTRATION REQUIRED)
Location: Franconia Heritage Restaurant

1:00 - “Jurassic Prank” - Dr. Tommy Mitchell
uses video clips from the hit movie Jurassic Park to show how the world indoctrinates us with evolutionary theories and suppositions. This presentation shows how dinosaurs really fit into history while debunking the popular fallacies about these creatures.
Homeschool (2 hours)

(REGISTRATION REQUIRED)
Audience: Homeschool Students and Homeschool teachers
Location: Franconia Mennonite Church

7:00 - “America’s Godly Heritage” - Tim Barton
sets forth the beliefs of many famous founding fathers concerning the proper role of Christian principles in education, government, and the nation’s public affairs. Court case excerpts also show that for 160 years under the Constitution, Christian principles were officially and legally inseparable from American life.

8:15 - “Why Can’t a Day Mean a Day?” - Dr. Tommy Mitchell
exposes the danger of inserting millions of years into the Bible. Millions of years require millions of compromises on the part of the Christian and the church, watering down the Gospel message and hindering the ability to provide answers to those seeking truth they can trust.

Saturday, November 6

1:00 - “Original Intent” - Tim Barton
vital information for anyone interested in our nation's religious heritage and the founders' intended role for the American judicial system, combining many quotes from primary sources with exposition on topics such as revisionism, judicial activism, and separation of church and state.

2:15 - “Modern Medicine and Ancient Authority” - Dr. Tommy Mitchell
refutes the claim that belief in evolution is necessary for the proper practice of medicine. Dr. Mitchell shows that belief in evolution has actually hindered the progress of medicine, and continues to do so. The concept of so-called “vestigial organs” is one of several topics covered.

3:30 - “Separation of Church and State” - Tim Barton
very timely for one of the most frequently debated issues. Where did this phrase originate? Was it always meant to prohibit expressions of religious faith in public settings as many claim today? Learn the answers to these questions and discover the founding fathers’ own words and intents.

6:00 - “Stem Cells and Cloning” - Dr. Tommy Mitchell
deals with one of the most controversial issues in today's society, with enormous moral ramifications. Christians need this information to avoid letting the popular media and educational system control their thinking.

7:15 - “Keys to Good Government” - Tim Barton
contrasts the Founding Fathers' views on public policy with the current decline in honesty and integrity in government. Revisit the principles for successful government through the counsel of great men and learn how to reclaim the quality of government we once enjoyed.

Sunday, November 7

6:00 - “Four Centuries of American Education” - Tim Barton
for four centuries, religion, morality, and knowledge formed the core elements of American education, but in recent decades, a secularized approach has gained prominence. This topic discusses the effects of religious and secular philosophies and presents stories of early American heroes in education.

7:15 - “A God of Suffering?” - Dr. Tommy Mitchell
addresses the difficult issue of death and suffering as seen through the eyes of a medical doctor and sheds the light of Scripture on the heart-rending events that touch every life. God's truth puts suffering in proper perspective.
